Well, hello there!

Okay, so here's how this blog came about ... I work too much, I sleep too little, and I've hit a slump in my late 20s (yay! Don't you want to keep reading?!). I was kind of sick of having the poor pitiful me conversations with myself. So my thought process was, I could create a blog, use it as a little therapy (much like that Tinkerbell diary with a chintzy lock on it from when I was six) but the end goal of the blog would be to start out feeling a little sorry for myself and end feeling a little fabulous! I figured that tv shows can have arcs, why can't I?! And I decided to name my blog something that I am (Southern!), something that I could do without but I'm not freaking out that much about it ... yet (Single!), and something that I want to get back to being (Saucy!). But here's what you basically need to know about little ol' me and where I hope to go with this blog:

- I'm a talker. And I write like I talk, which is to say that I ramble, I'm wordy, I don't use great grammar, and I get a little bitchy!

- I love, love, love being from Kentucky. I will cheer for the Wildcats (my alma mater!) and I will brag about pretty horses and fast women and I will remind you that George Clooney is from Kentucky. It will get obnoxious but have a sip of Bourbon and you'll feel just fine.

- I grew up Methodist, I grew up green, and I grew up in a dry county. Who knew that would mean that I would be such a good time after 18?!

- I have the most wonderful group of friends in the entire world. No, seriously. I read some article the other day that 85% of people have a "toxic friend" who brings them down. Really?! First of all, you cut those after high school because you don't have to go to everyone's birthday parties anymore. I tried to think long and hard about any of my friends that I would consider toxic and I drew a blank.

- I have zero creativity but I have great taste and I think that is just as important.

- I would walk across hot coals for a glass of sweet tea and Derby pie and I've got the hips to prove it!

- I'm desperately working on the hips part!

I'd really like this blog to be a place for me to reflect on my life's lessons, to hash out my quandaries, and to pace my progress as I undertake the last few years of being in my twenties. And if I amsue anyone in the process, then so be it!

Y'all take care!
